Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PropLink ("PropLink," "we," "us"), operated by [TODO: confirm legal entity name], collects, why, and who it's shared with. It's written with the rights and principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind — it is not a claim of formal certification under that or any other law.

What we collect

From brokers who create an account:

• Phone number (required — used to log in and shown to buyers so they can reach you).
• Name, agency name, bio, and years of experience (optional).
• Email address (optional — only used for password recovery).
• A profile photo, if you upload one.
• If you sign up with Google or Facebook, whatever basic profile information that provider shares with us (typically your name and email).

From listings you create:

• Property details, description, price, amenities, and location (including map coordinates if you use the address search or pin-drop tool).
• Photos and videos you upload.
• Voice notes, if you use that feature — the audio is sent to our AI provider to be transcribed to text and is not stored by us as audio afterward.

From buyers who contact you:

• Name, phone number, and optionally an email and message, submitted through the enquiry form on your listing page.

Automatically:

• An aggregate view count per listing (how many times the page was loaded) — this is a simple counter, not a per-visitor log of who viewed what.
• IP addresses, held briefly to prevent abuse of AI generation, voice transcription, and enquiry submission (rate limiting).

How we use it

To run the service: authenticate you, display your listings and profile, deliver buyer enquiries to your dashboard, generate AI description drafts and voice transcriptions from what you provide, show your listing's location on a map, and prevent abuse of the platform. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use buyer enquiry details for anything beyond delivering them to the broker they were sent to.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to run PropLink. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Supabase— our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Data is hosted in Supabase's ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region.
• Vercel — hosts the PropLink website and app.
• Google Gemini — generates listing description drafts and transcribes voice notes. Property details, notes, a resized copy of listing photos, and voice-note audio may be sent to this API to produce that output.
• Google Maps Platform — powers address search, the location picker, and the map shown on listing pages. Location searches you type are sent to Google to power this.

The following are planned but not yet active — this policy will be updated before either goes live:

• 2Factor — planned SMS provider for phone number verification. Not currently used; phone numbers are not sent to an SMS provider today.
• Razorpay — planned payment processor, for if/when paid plans launch. Not currently used; no payment data is collected today.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a listing, its content and photos are removed. If you want your account and associated data deleted entirely, contact us using the details below.

Your rights

Consistent with the DPDP Act, you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and withdraw consent for optional data (like your profile email or photo) at any time. Most of this you can already do yourself from your dashboard; anything else, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy
